Flight paths over London - meeting 16 December

Meeting on flight paths over London on Thursday 16th December at City Hall, The Queen's Walk, London, SE1 2AA, Committee Room 4, from 5.30 pm to 7pm. The meeting, organized by HACAN, will be hosted and chaired by Val Shawcross, the GLA Assembly Member for Southwark and Lambeth and the Chair of the London Assembly’s Transport Committee. Two expert speakers will outline why, in recent years, aircraft noise has become a London-wide problem and look at possible solutions to minimizing it. There will be a lot of time for questions and discussion. Light refreshments available.

The meeting is timely as the Civil Aviation Authority is consulting on a new airspace policy for the UK which is expected to feed into the review by the Government of aviation policy starting next year.

Speakers at the Meeting:
Tim Johnston, Director Aviation Environment Federation
Max Dixon, former GLA Noise Officer; part-time adviser to the Mayor on noise issues

HACAN has published a new pamphlet on flight paths which will available at the meeting.
